This weekend’s first broadcast of Shortwave Radiogram is First broadcast is today at 2030 UTC on 7780 and 9455 kHz. Listeners in North America: Tell your bosses you need to go home early to decode the modes.
Response has been light to the Friday 2030 UTC and Monday 0800 UTC shows, most likely because of the inconvenient times and poor reception on Europe. I will try to find a new weekend slot for Shortwave Radiogram. If you have suggestions for convenient times and days, please let me know.

During the past week, our Twitter group also posted SSTV images received from the International Space Station. I received only a few blurry images, but Merkouris in Greece decoded the entire set of SSTV images transmitted from the ISS.
During last weekend’s broadcast, I was amazed by how well the fast MFSK128 and MFSK64 modes decoded even in less than ideal conditions. Thanks to listeners who produced videos of their reception and decodes (from which you can decode, though I was unsuccessful with the audio from DFS in Japan):

You can also access audio of my reception Monday at 0800-0830 UTC on 7730 kHz using an SDR in Australia. This is interesting not only because of the distance from the Florida transmitter, but also because of the wideband interference which proved to be a slight problem only for the MFSK128 mode — plus the fuzzy images. This weekend on Shortwave Radio, we will again transmit the sequence of MFSK128, 64, and 32, each with an image. We will also experiment with three of the fastest Thor modes: Thor 50×1, Thor 50×2, and Thor 100. All three of these are available on TIVAR and AndFlmsg as well as Fldigi. An RSID will be sent at the beginning of each mode, but if the software does not switch automatically, five seconds will be provided after the RSID for a manual change.
