Hello friends
The holiday season generates many colorful photos to include in Shortwave Radiogram. Most of this week’s MFSK images will continue in that theme.
While searching for seasonal images, some content sources were upfront about the fact that their images were created using artificial intelligence. I prefer images created by human intelligence, but it was nice of them to let me know. I was hoping to complete my remaining years blissfully ignorant of AI, but it looks like AI is being thrust upon us.
Occasionally while searching for news articles to use in the broadcast, I will find one that seems to have been written by AI, with wooden prose and lacking in nuance. Photos and art created by AI might be harder to spot. The best paintings, however, are blessed by imperfections that can only be human.
Looking ahead, the end-of-year show will be an all-image, all-art «spectacular.» It will be broadcast December 22-25 and probably repeated December 29-January 1. I’ll let you know next week.
A video of last weekend’s Shortwave Radiogram (program 333) is provided by Scott in Ontario (Friday 1300 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany.
