We will take a break from Cubadisco 2024 nominees to recognize the centenary of the founding of the iconic Cuban dance band Sonora Matancera, through which many Cuban greats such as Celia Cruz passed during their careers. This will feature both vintage recordings and a recent tribute album by current Cuban musical stars.

Vamos a tomar un descanso de los nominados en Cubadisco 2024 para reconocer el centenario del inicio del grupo icónico de música bailable cubana Sonora Matancera, cuyos integrantes incluyeron a Celia Cruz y otras estrellas cubanas durante varias épocas. La música va a tocar en grabaciones antiguos mas un lanzamento reciente en tributo desde Cuba.
