Hello friends,
I hope the holiday season is unfolding well where you are.
I have been planning to use this time of year to put my antennas back in the air. They have mostly been on the ground due to roof work and tree removal at our house. Antenna work outside has been a challenge because it is much colder, and windier, than the halfhearted winters we usually have here in the Washington DC area.
Holiday related images will be included in this week’s show. There will be even more for next week’s Ā«holiday spectacular,Ā» 19-25 December, which will probably be repeated 26 December-1 January.
Apologies to everyone who tuned in Wednesday, 10 December, 1330-1400 UTC, 15770 kHz, during Shortwave Radiogram was replaced by music at 1333 UTC. This from WRMI: Ā«We checked our logs, and the only thing we can conclude is that we lost an Internet connection to our cloud server about three minutes into the program. We have now added an instruction to our automation system to download your audio file 15 minutes before broadcast so the file that plays at 1330 will be actually on the computer.Ā» Let’s hope that works!
Scott in Ontario is always there Wednesdays at 1330 UTC to record a video of SWRG, but because of the past week’s mishap, he tried again at the inconvenient hour of 0930 on Thursday. Reception of 7780 was, as usual, difficult in eastern North America. But check out his video anyway.
The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany.
Also: Image archive by John in California. And IQ file and other resources from H0B0_Radio in Washington state.
Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 429, 12-18 December 2025, in MFSK modes as noted:
1:38 MFSK32: Program preview
2:48 MFSK32: Clues beneath Greenland about rising seas
7:07 MFSK64: Are Southeast Asian time zones all wrong?
12:40 MFSK64: This week’s images
28:32 MFSK32: Closing announcements
