Hello friends,
Starting next week, and for three weeks, Shortwave Radiogram will be produced and presented by two distinguished international broadcasters. Al Holt, known for his Birthday Radiogram on The Mighty KBC, will do program 419 (September 35-October 1) and program 421 (October 9-15). Tony Pavick of Pop Shop Radio will have program 420 (October 2-8).
During that time, I will not be sending the weekly email, and the swradiogram.net website will not be updated. Emails to radiogram@verizon.net will not be answered until mid-October. But do check swradiogram.bsky.social (Bluesky, even if you do not have an account) and @swradiogram on X for updates.
For this week (program 419), I will produce and present the usual combination of MFSK32 and MFSK64, with ten MFSK64 images, and a surprise mode under the closing music.
Where was 15770 kHz? For the second week in a row, it was missing during our Wednesday 1330 UTC broadcast. Jeff White at WRMI tells me this is because of some needed maintenance to the transmitter. So hang in there: I think 15770 will be back next week.
Scott in Ontario was not able to provide his usual video because of the absence of 15770 Wednesday at 1330 UTC. The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany. For an image archive, see jrabold.net/swrimages.
Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 418, 18-24 September 2025, in MFSK modes as noted:
1:46 MFSK32: Program preview
2:57 MFSK32: New European space firm would compete with SpaceX
5:06 MFSK64: Fired climate.gov employees create climate.us
10:18 MFSK64: This weekās images
27:52 MFSK32: Closing announcements
