Hello friends,
Thanks again to Al Holt and Tony Pavick for filling in, with interesting shows, while my wife and I traveled.
The snow that delayed our return from Hawaii is still on the ground here in northern Virginia. The locals call it Ā«snowcrete,Ā» the result of three inches of sleet over five inches of snow. It’s not good for snowball fights, but the ice chunks have been used to build some impressive igloos and forts.
I have been slowly chopping and digging my way to our trash and recycling bins, hoping to be able to transport them to the street for the scheduled Monday collection.
This week’s Shortwave Radiogram will include a story from the BBC press office about new BBC Ā«lifelineĀ» broadcasts on medium wave and shortwave to Iran. This is an example of what we have been trying to demonstrate in the Shortwave Radiogram project: Radio is the ultimate workaround when the internet is blocked.
And for an additional demonstration of the concept, the program will include a brief excerpt of Persian text from the BBC.
For an IQ audio file and other resources from Saturday 2300 UTC, see this from H0b0_Radio in Washington state.
Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 435, 6-12 February 2026, in MFSK modes as noted:
1:46 MFSK32: Program preview
3:01 MFSK32: Fish-free omega-3s from whisky waste
