Hello friends,
The big news this week is an order by federal judge Royce Lamberth that the Trump Administration must return all Voice of America employees to their jobs by March 23. It will be interesting to see if this actually will happen, because the VOA headquarters building in Washington DC, after a year mostly unused, may not be in condition for media production.

The second story this week’s Shortwave Radiogram is about those VOA employees. It is from France 24. The first story is also from a French international broadcaster: Radio France International. It is in French from the RFI broadcast/podcast Lāatelier des mĆ©dias, produced by Steven Jambot. The topic is the new Persian-language numbers station that shortwave listeners have been hearing lately.
Where was 15770? Apologies to those of you who did not hear Shortwave Radiogram Wednesday at 1330-1400 UTC on 15770 kHz from WRMI Florida. The 15770 transmitter went off the air at 1315 UTC and resumed at 1412 UTC, thus conveniently keeping all of Shortwave Radiogram off the air. WRMI tells me the problem may have been related to cooler than usual weather in Okeechobee.
We are in the limbo between the Daylight Savings time change in North America, which has already happened, and summer clock time in Europe, which doesn’t happen until March 29. Keep track of the difference between your time and UTC (in the schedule below) during this confusing time of year.
On the subject of schedules, the summer transmission schedule for The Mighty KBC is posted here. The KBC programs include an MFSK text and image from Al Holt, and often SSTV from Peter John.
A video of last week’s Shortwave Radiogram (program 440) is not available, as usual, from Scott in Ontario, because of the missing 15770 transmission. The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany. See also the image archive provided by John in California.
Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 441, 7-12 November 2025, in MFSK modes as noted:
1:45 MFSK32: Program preview
2:56 MFSK32: Le mystĆØre de la station de nombres persane
10:44 MFSK64: Judge orders Trump admin to restore VOA jobs
14:55 MFSK64: This week’s images
28:39 MFSK32: Closing announcements
