Shortwave Radiogram, del 9 al 16 de Abril 2026: programa 444

Shortwave Radiogram
Shortwave Radiogram

Hello friends,

Sorry that this email is late. Mailchimp was not working yesterday, so the first transmission Thursday at 2330-2400 UTC came and went without an email notice.

Besides preparing program 444 of Shortwave Radiogram, my week’s activities included setting up a vertical dipole antenna, in the back yard, to listen to the air band (108-138 MHz). This would be connected using an old run of coax cable from my bedroom, through the frame of a house addition about two decades old, then underground (inside old garden hose) to the mast.

So far the project is unsuccessful. Reception using whip antennas is better than using the new outside antenna. This weekend I will troubleshoot, concentrating on the connectors at both ends. It could also be bad coax or a defective antenna.

A video of last week’s Shortwave Radiogram (program 443) is provided by Scott in Ontario (Wednesday 1330 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany. Also the IQ audio file and other resources from H0B0_Radio in Washington state. And John Rabold’s image archive

Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 444, 9-16 April 2026, in MFSK modes as noted:

 1:43  MFSK32: Program preview
 2:53  MFSK32: Drought parches Florida
6:20  MFSK64: Moscow’s plans for Moon ‘sovereign territories’
