Shortwave Radiogram, del 21 al 26 de Abril: programa 253

There were mishaps last weekend with the Friday broadcast. The 1300-1330 UTC transmission was occupied by Brother Stair due to a mistaken entry in WRMI’s automation system. And the 1500-1530 UTC DRM transmission from WINB Pennsylvania on 15750 kHz also had another program in its slot. Fred in Virginia tells me that he found Shortwave Radiogram text later in the day, via unattended reception of 15750 via an SDR in Utah. Let’s hope the transmissions are as advertised this weekend.

Last weekend, Scott in Ontario was ready to make a video of the Friday 1300-1330 UTC show, but it was not transmitted, as explained in the previous paragraph. So he recorded the Monday 0800-0830 UTC broadcast on 5850 kHz. Reception was not good in Toronto, but adequate for at least 90% decode of the MFSK32 text, which is our benchmark for success. The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is prepared by Roger in Germany.

Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 253, 21-26 April 2022,  in MFSK modes as noted:

  1:39  MFSK32: Program preview
2:45  MFSK32: Military intruders in ham bands
4:59  MFSK64: Cells make more power from heat than a turbine*
12:05  MFSK64: This week’s images*
28:38  MFSK32: Closing announcements
