Shortwave Radiogram, del 23 al 30 de Julio 2026: programa 459

Shortwave Radiogram
Shortwave Radiogram

Hello friends,

Uncommonly nice summer weather is visiting us in northern Virginia. It’s 82F/28C with low humidity as I type this in front of an open window. High temperatures will be below 90F/32C for the next week, which is a good stretch for us.

This week’s Shortwave Radiogram includes a news story and image from Radio Taiwan International (Rti), about their participation in an amateur radio event in Japan. Rti still broadcasts on shortwave (though not to North America). And they occasionally experiment with test shortwave transmissions to Europe in German and French. If you correspond with Rti, encourage them to try MFSK text and images.

A video of last week’s Shortwave Radiogram (program 458) is provided by Scott in Ontario (Wednesday 1330 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany. See also the IQ file and other resources from H0B0-Radio in Washington state. And John Rabold’s image archive.

Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 459, 23-30 July 2026, in MFSK modes as noted:

 1:44  MFSK32: Program preview
2:55  MFSK32: Scientists will watch SpaceX rocket crash into moon
7:00  MFSK64: Radio Taiwan International at Japan ham festival
10:49  MFSK64: This week’s images
28:15  MFSK32: Closing announcements
