Hello friends,
For most of us in North America, clocks will turn back one hour on November 1. This will affect Shortwave Radiogram as follows:
1) WRMI’s 9955 kHz stays with Eastern Time, so this Sunday the UTC time will change to 1530 UTC, but the local time will be the same for most of North America, e.g. 10:30 am EST.
2) Other WRMI transmissions will stay with UTC, so they will be one hour earlier by local time in most North America.
3) WINB 9265 stays with Eastern Time, but we don’t have to worry about that until next weekend.
The schedule below is correct as of this weekend.
Most of Europe moved clocks back one hour last weekend, so, Europeans, make sure your UTC time conversions to local time are correct.
Some weeks, it’s challenging for me to find photos good for transmission on Shortwave Radiogram. During autumn, there is an overabundance of photos of fall foliage. But another interesting thing about autumn is that many flowers are still blooming. So I included images of late-season blooms, because we will not see them again for a while.
A video of last week’s Shortwave Radiogram (program 472) is provided by Scott in Ontario (Wednesday 1330 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany.
Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 473, 29 October-5 November 2026, in MFSK modes as noted:
