Here in northern Virginia, our strange winter of higher than normal temperatures and no snow continues. Maybe we will get some winter before winter is over.
All of the Shortwave Radiogram broadcasts were transmitted as scheduled last week – except for Saturday 2300 UTC on 7570 kHz, which was a couple of minutes late getting started, although none of the images was missed. Also, during that 2300 UTC broadcast, the strong noise interference heard recently on 7570 was absent, except for two brief spurts. We still don’t know its origin.
A videos of last weekend’s Shortwave Radiogram (program 291) is provided by Scott in Ontario (Friday 1300 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is prepared by Roger in Germany.
Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 292, 17-20 February 2023, in MFSK modes as noted:
1:36 MFSK32: Program preview
2:43 MFSK32: Proposed planetary system classification
7:22 MFSK64: It’s OK to feed the birds*
13:56 MFSK64: This week’s images*
28:12 MFSK32: Closing announcements
