THIS FORTNIGHT’S PROGRAMME – (First broadcast this FRIDAY 8th March) by WRMI at 0200 UTC on 5850, (and 2000 UTC on 15770) and then Channel 292 on SATURDAY (9th March) at 11:00 UTC on 9670 kHz):Begins with a meditation by Massenet, some incidental music from the 1996 film of Romeo and Juliet, and part of a piano quintet by American composer Amy Beach.After that something different from Iceland – they can always be relied upon, Some of the beasts from Saint Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, and a contemporary piece by French composer Joël Grare.The programme ends with the Quartet in A-FLat Major by Fanny Mendelssohn.
